Congress President Rahul Gandhi questioned the PM Modi that, is it a prank to cut one paisa on the fuel rates. Taking on Twitter against Modi, he wanted Modi the Prime Minister to explain on this. The petrol rates have gone up since last 16 days and in the morning there was news that about 60 paise was reduced.
Then came this rejoinder that it was only one paisa that has been reduced. Fuel consumers were lining up only to find out that there was no reduction in rates and it was just one paisa and was not passed on to the consumer.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Dear PM, You’ve cut the price of Petrol and Diesel today by 1 paisa. ONE paisa!?? If this is your idea of a prank, it’s childish and in poor taste. P.S. A ONE paisa cut is not a suitable response to the #FuelChallenge I threw you last week.”
Earlier Rahul had tweeted, “Dear PM, Glad to see you accept the @imVkohli fitness challenge. Here’s one from me: Reduce Fuel prices or the Congress will do a nationwide agitation and force you to do so. I look forward to your response. #FuelChallenge.”
In all, petrol price was increased by Rs 3.8 per litre and diesel by Rs 3.38 in that fortnight. People have been facing this fuel attack since last 16 days and now they are into this Bank strike for two days.
