Intresting battle on cards

It is going to be an interesting encounter when Rising Pune Supergaints meet Delhi Daredevils at the MCA cricket stadium Pune tonight, despite the fact Pune Supergaints have a clean record, winning the 2016 two league matches. Pune scored a fine win against Mumbai Indians at the same venue on day two of the VIVO IPL 10 this year, but lost to Kings XI Punjab in the second one. Only their captain Steve Smith, Ajinke Rahane and Ben Stokes have looked in good touch for them so far and they have to be consistent, if hoping for a playoff berth this year.

Imran Tahir is going to be their key bowler today and he has impressed everyone with his fine performances as he is the leading wicket-taker being in the Purple Cap race. Imran played for Delhi Daredevils last year and he knows most of the batsmen’s strengths and weaknesses as he he must have bowled number of balls in the nets to their key players. But he needs support at the other end as most of their bowlers are still struggling for rythm, including their main speedstar Ashok Dinda.

In batting Delhi are really missing the services of DeCkok and Duminy and only Rishab Pant despite losing his father last week played a gem of an innings in a closely-fought match against Royal Challengers a couple of days ago. Delhi have a decent bowling attack in Pat Cummins, Moris and Misra and all bowled well in the first match restricting the mighty Bangalore to a moderate score.

In yesterday’s match Kings XI Punjab scored their super second consecutive win. This time they beat Royal Challengers at Indore by eight wickets. For RCB, AB Divilliers playing his first match played a magnificent innings of 89 not out.

For Kings XI Hashim Amla made a fine half century, while captain Maxwell scored a rapid 43 not out off just 22 balls.
