CLIC in association with HMRL,Metro Rail, Telangana Tourism and the Department of Language & Culture, Govt of Telangana is organising the First International Snacks Festival on August 30th, 31st and Sep 1st 2019, at four Metro Station and they are Uppal metro, Ameerpet Metro, Hitech City Metro and MGBS Imlibun Metro Station daily from 3.00pm till 9.00pm.
The Festival is first of its kind in the entire world where more than 10 Indian Communities and 10 International Communities are Participating
and displaying their home made snacks and sweets prepared by the Home Makers. Homemakers will prepare their traditional sweets usually made in their states or country. Those sweets are exhibited and sold at the festival. The International participants are representing countries such as Mozambique, Comoros,Somalia,South Africa,Sudan,China,South Korea,Ehthiopia, Afganisthan.
This platform will help Home Makers to exhibit their kitchen talent of cooking to the outside world.“FROM KITCHEN TO ARENA”. No business people or bakery is allowed to prepare and sell snacks in the venue. Snacks Festival is a platform for National Integration. This is Unity in Diversity at the ground level where you find women from all states, coming together in a common platform and witness the bonhomie.
Cultural programs of each state will be performed one after another in those three days daily between 5 pm till 9 pm, to showcase the richness of Indian Culture. Even Foreign Expats are also showcasing their Cultural Talents in their Traditional Costume.
L& T Metro has given the free space at the concourse level, at all the 4 metros to organise this Festival.
