All is not well within the BJP here in Telangana. The differences in Telangana BJP came out in open during the party chiefs visit in Nalgonda district. The Infighting in party State unit came to the fore during the visit of Party national president Amit Shah.
Only the party President Laxman was seen huffing and puffing with Shah in the scorching sun. Kishan Reddy, NVS Prabhakar, Ramachandra Rao were not seen along with Shah. They were not at all active. Even Dattatreya was playing hide and seek here and there nodding to the talk of Shah.
The absence of former BJP State president and legislature party leader Kishan Reddy during the first day of Shah’s tour spoke volumes about what is happening in the Party. While State president Lakshman and national secretary Muralidhar Rao accompanied Shah, Kishan Reddy was nowhere around. This has led to a debate about what is going on in the State unit. Already there are allegations that Lakshman and Kishan Reddy are maintaining separate groups.
Kishan Reddy was the boss when he was the party President and he is close confidant of Venkaiah from the beginning.Venkaiah encouraged Kishan reddy like anything and everything from the beginning.
In fact, Kishan Reddy went to Teretpalli before Shah visited the place and spoke to party cadre. But when Shah finally arrived, Lakshman and Muralidhar Rao only accompanied him. They are the ones who are supervising Shah’s programmes. Kishan Reddy was not on the dais during meeting with cadre, he was absent from the Dalitwada programme.
With this, it has become clear that Telangana BJP is suffering from internal bickerings. In this context, there were speculations that Shah had spoken to Kishan Reddy and asked him to be active taking everyone along. Kishan Reddy refused to share the dais with Lakshman during a meeting with party cadre.
Amit Shah also told him that leaders should work with unity to achieve results.There is backbiting between the BJP leaders here. Dattatreya, Laxman are together, Kishan has his own set of followers, while NVS and Ramchandra Rao move together.
The 5 leaders in the party move in 3 different directions.If this is the case how can they come to power. Now with Krishnaiah to join the party in the near future it has to be seen as to how they would lead the party for the coming elections.
