India wins 2 silver medals in Asian Rowing

India won two silver medals in Asian junior Rowing championship held at pattaya Thailand from 24-27 Oct 16.

From Telangana sports school rower D Sairaju won silver medal along with Nikhil golia from Uttarakhand in coxless pair event.

And another silver medal won by Indian rowers in coxless four event. Jaskaran Singh, Pramod, lokendra, Akshay Patil.

D Sairaju Telangana sports school rower studying in 11th class. Recently won silver medals in sr Nationals held at Hyderabad during Jan 16.

Sairaju started Rowing 3 years back as sub junior from sports school..
It’s great achievement for Telangana Rowing as well as Telangana sports school…
Indian team will be back to Hyd on 29 Oct 26.

D sita Mahalakshmi finished 6th place in her event.

Earlier two rowers has been selected and sent to represent India at above championship to be held at Thailand.

D sita Mahalakshmi and D Sairaju from Telangana sports school participating in coxless pair event. Telangana rowers perform well in last sub junior nationals and selected to national camp. This national camp conducted from August at Telangana water sports academy under supervision by Rowing federation of India. 21 nos of Indian contingent leaving to Thailand from Hyd tonight for above championship.

National Coach Ismail Baig, dronacharya Awardee accompany with junior team with other coaches.

Both rowers met Vcmd SATS ,Sri A Dinakar Babu IAS. before leaving to Thailand. Dy director Mrs Shoba and coach v Venkateswara Rao, National Coach Ismail Baig were along with rowers.
