India is on the verge of yet another series win as they skittled out the Australians for 135 in their second innings, thanks mainly to a wonderful team effort.

It will be only a formality tomorrow as India needs only eight seven runs with all the wickets in hand. Unless a miracle happens the Aussies can not prevent the hosts from winning the series and the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Starting the day at 248 for six, overnight batsmen Jadeja and Saha batted superbly taking the score past 300. After both got out, the tailenders could not last long, but India got a vital 35-run first innings lead.

Jadeja made yet another fine half century, entertaining the Dharmashala crowd with some superb hits.

Nathan Lyon was the most successful Aussies bowler, claiming five wickets, while Pat Cummings picked three.

Australia were off to a bad start in their second innings, losing David Warner soon to Umesh Yadav. Then they lost wickets at regular intervals and were tottering at 92 for five at one stage. Thanks to Maxwell’s some good batting they could make 135. Australian captain Smith also got out cheaply. Umesh Yadav, Jadeja and Ashwin took three wickets each.

At the end of day’s play India made 19 without loss and now just a session away to win the series.
