The India International Science Festival (IISF) was launched in 2015 as a celebration and promotion of Science and Technology among the masses, especially the school/college students.
Ministry of Earth Sciences and Ministry of Science and Technology in association with Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), has created the unique platform of IISF aimed at engaging the public with science and to demonstrate how science could lead India towards becoming a developed nation in a short span of time.
The 5th IISF will be held in Kolkata during 5-8 November 2019. As a curtain-raiser to this prestigious event, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Hyderabad (an autonomous body under Ministry of Earth Sciences) is organising a Special Public Guest Lecture by Dr. V. M. Tiwari, Director, CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute on October 24th 2019 (Thursday) at 10 am.
