Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari informed that Independence Day celebrations will be held at the historic Golconda Fort in a grand manner. At a high level meeting held today, Chief Secretary reviewed the arrangements being made for Independence Day.
Chief Secretary said that the Chief Minister will hoist the national flag. He will also pay tribute to the freedom fighters at the Martyrs' Memorial at the Secunderabad Parade Ground.
The concerned departments have been ordered to make elaborate arrangements for the grand celebration of this Independence Day. She said that appropriate arrangements should be made in coordination with Army GOC officials at the Martyrs Memorial in Secunderabad Parade Ground. She said that police, roads, buildings, information department, GHMC, electricity,transport and other departments should make all necessary arrangements in a
befitting manner.
