The PTI president and former cricketer Imran khan has taken oath today as the new Prime Miniter of Pakistan. He has won the majority test yesterday and is all set to take over Pakistan. He is the first cricketer to be the Prime Minister.
It looks like there will be a new chapter opened between the India and Pakistan relations soon. But it has to be seen how far with the army allow him to do so. Will they give him a free hand is the real question.
He won the vote of confidence in the parliament and said that those who looted the country will be brought to justice. Navjyot Singh Sidhu, Gavaskar and Kapildev were invited by Imran for the oath-taking ceremony and Sidhu has already landed in Pakistan.
Imran Khan has been struggling since last 22 years to come to power after he retired from cricket. He was an uncrowned King and a great Captain in cricket. But in the recent time, he faced some ugly allegations from his wife who divorced him. This was regarding his unnatural sexual habits.
But we can say that he is on a sticky wicket in the Government with a slender majority and it would be difficult for him to take some decisions in the future.
He has to garner support from all quarters. With the army giving him all the support he might continue for a while.
