Karimnagar Kings, the local team will clash with Gadwal Gladiators in their last league match, and an important one indeed for both in the ongoing Telangana Premier kabaddi tournament at the Ambedkar indoor stadium here. This is almost like a quarterfinal match, with both the teams needing a win desperately to make it to the last four.
They will rely on their captains performance today. Kings will be hoping for the in form Mallesh Gangadhari to be at his best, while Mallikarjun one of the most outstanding raiders of this championship will be the key player for Gladiators. With Gauri Shankar’s comeback the King’s allround strength is increased. Gouri, who was not available for a couple of encounters at Warangal, played a good supportive role in the first match here when Kings played against Siddipet Stalions.
If Kings can stop Mallikarjun from scoring points, they will easily win. And I am sure, Dhanam Reddy -the most experienced coach will have a special strategy for that. Lingam Yadav also looked good in the initial stages and he has to be a little cautious today as he tends to make some silly errors sometimes.
In yesterdays matches, Hyderabad Bulls came back strongly towards the closing stages to score a fine win aginst Nalagonda Eagles , while Warangal Warriors, who enjoyed a health lead at the break time lost the momentum, before losing to Khammam Cheetas.
