As per the information on 25.04.2020 Smt K. Manjulatha, Forest Beat Officer, Karepally Beat of Bheemgal Section of Kammarpally Range of Armoor Division on her routine Perambulation of Beat, information has got to her that Forest Produce (Teak logs) was dumped in Bhukya Naik Thanda and Hanuman Thanda of Karepally Village.
In this regard she attempted to seize the material but she was assaulted by the smugglers and as per the information back up team was sent along with Police officers and search was conducted with the help of Additional Forest Force then machines and wood were seized and transported. Also FIR was lodged in the Bheemgal Police Station against 10 offenders.
In the preliminary search it was noticed that there is still more material in the villages and also the villagers are brewing illegal liquor, hence after planning from District Forest Officer, Nizamabad Dr Sunil S. Hiremath IFS, Commissioner of Police, Nizamabad Sri Kartikeyan IPS and Superintendent of Excise, Nizamabad Naveen Chandra a plan was jotted for cordon search and seizure.
In this regard, the team Forest Divisional Officer, Armoor along with 40 numbers Forest Staff (Forest Divisional Officer, Armoor, Forest Range Officer, Armoor, I/c Forest Range Officer Kammarpally, Forest Range Officer, Sirikonda and All Dy. Range Officers, Section Officers and Forest Beat Officers of Armoor Division), 40 numbers Police Staff (including (02) Circle Inspectors (04) Sub-Inspectors and remaining Head Constables and Constables) and 20 numbers from Prohibition and Excise Department were formed and briefed at Bheemgal PS at Bheemgal Mandal at 7.00 A.M of 28.04.2020 and three groups from 100 staff were formed with members of all the Departments in each group and went to Karepally Village Bhukya Thanda and Hanuman Thanda and performed Cordon and Search Operation.
In the operation (04) Tractors of Teak Logs (Round and Sawn Sizes) along with Tractors and 01 Carpenter Machine (Cutting and Smoothening) Machine of 3H.P Motor were Seized from the villages. Also from the Excise department seized 3 cases registered with 5 litres Illicit Distillation in the village.
