IIT Murthy talks to Barkas students

B. Shafiullah, IFS., Secretary Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) stated that Prof. B.S. Murty, Director of IIT-Hyderabad, has visited TMR Junior College Barkas Boys – 1, situated at Barkas, Hyderabad.

Prof. B.S. Murty, Director of IIT-Hyderabad inspired and motivated the young students towards science and provided them with brief exposure to the latest research and innovation activities at IIT Hyderabad, which is impacting the society and industry.He also gave the an insight into path-breaking research work, new initiatives, student projects and the advanced facilities and laboratories, which have been established at IIT Hyderabad.

Addressing the students, Prof B.S. Murty said: “It is important to expose children to some of these research activities early on. They may not understand everything, but they will have life long memories of what they see or hear during their interactions.”

He shared his experiences that students come to IIT as his vision is only to crack the IIT examination and also encouraged the students that they should never come to IIT for just to get good offer, but come to IIT to become good engineer and should have the vision to achieve it.

He briefed the students about the on-going research from the various departments of IIT Hyderabad and about, artificial intelligence, robotics, and nanotechnology.

In his remarks he wrote “It is exciting to meet students here. I wish that all their dreams & aspirations come true.”

On 1st October 2019, the TMREIS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H).
