Controversial BJP MLA from the old city, Raja Singh has been booked for saying that Iftar parties are hosted for the sake of votes. They are all vote Bikaris and are hosting Iftar for the same Raja Singh stated. A case has been registered by the Falaknuma police for provoking the religious sentiments of people in the name of Iftar and votes.
Raja Singh has been booked several times by the Hyderabad police for making controversial and provocative statements in the name religion. He also said that the heads of people should be chopped off who are against the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Raja Singh said that he would not host any Iftar as all the Iftars are being done for the sake of votes. When there are 50 Muslims countries, 100 Christian countries, then why not Hindu countries Raja questioned? Raja Singh said that the so-called green book should be banned. He said that the green book was responsible for spreading terrorism in the country.
When it comes to Iftar parties President of India Kovind has cancelled the iftar at Rashtrapati Bhavan saying that the presidential office is not going to host any religious parties. On the other, the Telangana CM has spent around Rs 60 crore for hosting the Iftar from the Government side.
