RGV might spoil the NTR biopic. He has not got any hit so far and is a director ready for retirement in the field. If Balaiah is believing in RGV, then he is going to be in trouble. People like Raghavendra Rao who knew the body language of NTR well will be right for the great legendary NTR who is the pride of Telugu people.
NTR is religious man, man with mythological movies as the back ground, a reformer and a social worker. Director who make movies like ice cream should go for eating the same not directing the movies of legends.
The biopic on the late Chief Minister and legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao is in the news again. While actor Balakrishna had announced that he would be playing his father in the latter’s biopic, it is now being reported that Ram Gopal Varma may direct this film.
Apparently, the two developed a good rapport when Balakrishna met Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Hindi film Sarkar 3. From then on, it is learnt that the duo has been exchanging notes, on various things including the biopic.
“RGV wants to make a full story on the late NTR that includes him being overthrown from the position of CM, and his eventual marriage. But the makers and Balakrishna want to end the film at the point where he became the CM for the first time, as his life is full of controversies.
Vishnu Induri, the film’s producer, hasn’t met RGV yet and middlemen have been discussing the film with the director and actor. So, why RGV? “Initially, the makers approached K. Raghavendra Rao but he expressed his doubts as he usually makes only devotional films. They also approached others, who were apprehensive because it is the biopic of a well-known figure like NTR. That’s when they felt that RGV, who has already helmed a few real-life stories, would be best suited to don the director’s cap,” adds a source .
A man close to the producer clarifies that nothing has been decided yet and that RGV is not directing it for now. NTR must be depicted as a Mahapurushudu not a controversial man. Raghavendra Rao will be the best option for Balaiah not RGV.
