After the surgical strikes against terrorists across LOC the Indian Government is very cautious and alert. Telangana DGP has suggested the police in Hyderabad and other districts to be on alert. There is police budobust in all the districts of Telangana as the new districts are being announced by the VIPs including the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Siddipet.

Amidst the continuing tension with Pakistan, the Centre has asked all states to be extra vigilant against attempts by terrorists and subversive elements to disrupt peace and ignite communal tension during the festival season.

Acting on intelligence inputs, the home ministry has issued a country-wide advisory asking all states especially major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to deploy additional forces in crowded places like markets, railway stations and religious sites to foil attempts by terrorists to carry out attacks.

The state police are on the alert following reports that terror groups might be trying to strike taking the festival hungama into consideration.

Police teams, each comprising four to five policemen, were checking vehicles at several places in the city. Security has been stepped up at all vital installations, places of worship and public places.

Cyberabad police has reviewed security of information technology companies , particularly local offices of US-headquartered ones in the wake of the country-wide general terror alert issued by the Centre ahead of new year.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner said many decoy teams are also doing rounds in crowded places, including malls, as a precautionary measure even as security has been stepped up in and around the international airport at Shamshabad here.

“Yes, there is a country-wide alert which we have got. We are very alert about it. We have the international airport at Shamshabad here and have beefed up the security there. We have again started playing the terror alerts (cautioning public) in all public places and junctions,” he added.
