iSmart Shankar the movie from Puri Jagannadh and Ram released today is Ok. Ram has done well and the ladies also did their bit under the direction of Puri Jagannadh who was yarning for a hit since a long time. It cannot be called a super hit, but it is average in the backdrop of the old city and Telangana dialect.
It is a new character for Ram and a new experience in his acting career. The Bonalu Song has been picturised well. The background score given by Mani Sharma is good. The BG has taken the movie to the next level we can say.
The taking is routine but the narration is good from Puri. With this movie, we can expect a super hit next time from Puri. He has definitely come back into the groove. The new angle is that the police plant a chip in the mind of the hero Ram which is different and it has been lifted from a Hollywood movie, even though the director calls it inspiration.
The actions scenes were also picturised very well by Puri and the fight masters. It is the right movie for the Bonalu month as we see the deity of Ammvaru in the background. Ram has done well with the Telangana dialect also.
