There is a talk in the Delhi political and police corridors that Kavitha the BRS MLC has avoided many of the questions posed by the ED and concluded that she was not involved in the liquor policy scam.
The ED officers questioned her for about 8 hours and asked her to come again on 16nth of this month. She rushed back to Hyderabad from Delhi by a special flight and met her father and TRS Boss K Chandrasekhar Rao here in Hyderabad at Pragathi Bhavan.
Most of those who were questioned in the case have named her, but she said that they were indicting her with a political vendetta. The questioning on 16th will be crucial they say.
With Pillai wanting to retract the statement that he gave to the ED, the legal pundits say that there could be no evidence against her. The BRS leaders and cadres appreciated the way Kavitha faced the ED and came out with smiles all the way.
Minister KTR and Harish came together to give confidence to Kavitha in facing the ED. Kavithas husband Anil also accompanied her. Before the questioning of the ED Kavitha clarified through various TV channels that she was not involved in the scam and there was no scam at all.
She agreed that the names being mentioned are known to her. We have to see if the court would agree to his request of Pillai for retracting the statement that he made against Kavitha.
The people of Telangana were following the developments in Delhi yesterday. Let’s hope she will come out of the case and prove that she is innocent.
