The voting percentage was less, but whoever voted it was for BRS in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad voters have proven to be a completely different breed when it comes to electoral trends in Telangana as they have given sheer contrasting trends when compared to the rural parts of Telangana.
While BRS is lagging far behind in the rural pockets of Telangana, the party is leading in most of the constituencies in Hyderabad.
The MIM on the other hand did not get proper support in Hyderabad and Old City. The Muslim voters gave a big hand to the BRS and this was the reason for losing around 30 seats to the Congress.
There is already a talk that the MIM would shift the support to Congress from the BRS. The development done under KTR got all the support we can say.
The credit for winning around 10 to 15 seats goes to KTR, especially in Hyderabad.
