The citizens of Hyderabad woke up to heavy rain. The streets are underwater and the traffic snarls are across the city.
A severe cloudburst this morning unleashed a torrential downpour across Hyderabad, drenching large parts of the city and causing significant disruption.
The heavy rain, which affected areas including Saroornagar, LB Nagar,Dilsukhnagar, Charminar, Rajendranagar, Abids, Nampally, Mehdipatnam,Nagole, Tellapur, Boduppal, Madhuranagar, Gachibowli, Chaitanyapuri,Ameerpet, Musheerabad, Shivarampally, and Uppal, continued to batter the city as residents woke up to the sound of thunder and pounding rain.
The GHMC workers have been clearing the drains to see that the rainwater is cleared. More rain is expected by this evening.The weather department has sounded an alert for heavy rains in Hyderabad and across Telangana.
The police in general are unable to prevent the traffic snarls during office hours and now during rains it is more difficult for the movement of Traffic. The Police is clearing the building under the water bodies.
Most of the buildings were under the funnel area of the water bodies.
