Chevella MP Ranjit Reddy said that Hyderabad has been earmarked under Pharma zone and a pharma city would be developed in about 300 acres said the New MP from Chevella, Ranjit Reddy. He was talking in the parliament.
There are 600 pharma companies and 200 biotech companies in Hyderabad. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already directed the concerned departments to see as to how the pharma exports have to be improved from Telangana.
Around 2000crores is being developed for the Pharma Zone in and around Hyderabad. About 60000 Crore investment is expected to come to Telangana. Manufacturing facilities and R and D facilities will be created with Zero emissions he said. At the same time around 50000 crores of exports are also being planned from this Pharma city.
Hyderabad is already recognised as a pharma capital and it would be further developed to boost the exports. About 4 lakhs jobs are expected to be created in this proposed Pharma zone he said.
The centre also has agreed for this Mega pharma project. It could be declared as National investment and manufacturing zone after the approvals are obtained from the centre.
