It now does not seem too difficult to optimistically look at a Hyderabad as a city that harnesses its strengths, creates jobs, develops business ideas, diversifies the economy and creates a business sector that vibrantly prioritizes growth!

Hyderabad is all set to become the start up capital of the country. Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj , K. Tarakarama Rao had announced the August Fest to be the precursor to the T Hub as well as other entrepreneurship building activities being contemplated  by the TS government. Regarded as one of the biggest seed fund events and start-up festival centered around  entrepreneurship, KTR further envisions to take Hyderabad to be the start-up capital of the country.

The first phase of T Hub is all set to take off which is being developed under the collaboration with IIIT-Hyderabad, Indian School of Business (ISB) and NALSAR University of Law. The centre initially will be sprawled across the existing IIIT campus, Gachibowli in an 8,000 sft of space with an intake capacity for almost 1000 potential amateurs.

The hub  is expected to be functional by the end of this year or early months of next year. The second phase of the project will be bigger and better with a standalone facility and a build-up space of 300,000 sft.

KTR aims to bring all start up programs under one roof while ensuring they are provided with the platform innovators need today. T Hub positions itself as a growth hub that increases the chances of success for start-ups  and facilitating a path that is impactful. Adding to the list of some of the biggest startup incubation centres such as Microsoft Accelerator, Bangalore, Centre for Innovation incubation and Entrepreneurship, Ahmedabad, Startup Village, Kochi, T Hub focusses on levelling many notches up.

Rama Rao said, “We want Hyderabad to be identified with start-ups. In the West, universities played a big role in nurturing young talent, which ultimately created huge IT companies. We will provide similar environment to Indian start-ups in Hyderabad. Youngsters just need to have a great idea, the business plan, technical support and legal support like help on intellectual property rights etc. will be taken care by T-Hub.”
