The Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad along with Cyberabad are underwater again. The situation is almost like the last year. Most of the low lying areas are underwater and the water gushing out of the sewer lines.
The GHMC has assured that there would be no water clogging in the areas, but after a year the situation is very bad. People are unable to come out of the houses due to the flow of water.
The water is flowing from Pedda Cheruvu, Santa Cheruvu areas of Balangar into the city. Last night the road to Gachibowli has been closed due to rain.
Around 10 CM of rain was recorded in the city on average. The person who fell into the Nala last night is still missing. His two-wheeler was taken out from the Nala at LB Nagar.
The water is being let out into the Musi here at Himayathsagar and also Gandipet which is also called Osman Sagar. The water is overflowing in the lanes and bylanes.
Some schools have been closed. KTR the Minister for Municipal Administration has assured many things to stop the floods but in-ground reality nothing has been done.
