Telugu has been a language of Pride the President of India Ramnath Kovind stated.
He was speaking at the concluding session of the WTC here in Hyderabad. This is the first World Telugu conference in Telangana the President said.
The 5 days have been a tribute to the Telugu language he opined. TS and AP use Telugu as mother Tongue he said. Telugu has contributed a lot to the culture of the country he said. He was reminded of Sri Krishnadevaraya and also PV Narasimha Rao here.
Kovind said that Nannaya and Tikkana were great poets.
He also talked about Alluri Seetharama Raju and Swamy Ramanand Teertha. Telugu community is recognised as achievers across the world he said.
Hyderabad is a pan Indian city and a global metropolis he stated. These are a matter of pride he said. Hyderabad is a city of Badminton, Biryani and Pav Bhaji he stated. The pickles of Hyderabad is also popular in Delhi Kovind said.
He also mentioned about the success of GES in Hyderabad.
