Thousands of cricket fans have queued up at the ticket counters since last night to buy the India -Australia match tickets. The sale of tickets for the general public begins this morning at counters at the stadium.
Each person can buy a maximum of two tickets of any price by showing a valid government ID proof such as voter ID or Aadhaar card etc.
Cricket fans have converged at the stadium from all parts of Hyderabad Secunderabad and Cyberabad to buy tickets, queuing up since last night.
The massive queues at the counters indicate that cricket in general is very popular. Earlier the matches between Pakistan and India were popular.
But now they are coming for the Australia-India match also. The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is gearing up to host an international match after three years on 25th. India is set to play its third T20I match against Australia in Hyderabad.
The Men in Blue fans were eagerly waiting to see their favourite cricketers. However, cricket enthusiasts failed to get tickets to watch the match.
On the other hand, hundreds of people flocked to the Hyderabad Gymkhana grounds to purchase tickets. They have been waiting there for hours at the Gymkhana grounds.
