In her first tweet in seven days, Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj said this morning that she is in hospital ‘because of kidney failure’ and undergoing tests for a transplant.
Within moments of her post, she received a massive response from people wishing her a speedy recovery. Some also offered her their own kidneys.
Ms Swaraj, 64, is known to promptly respond to every SOS she receives on Twitter. Tweeple are returning the favour and tweeting the foreign minister with offers of help, should she need it.
Ms Swaraj, who was admitted to New Delhi’s AIIMS hospital last Tuesday, tweeted:
