The Chief Minister KCR announced 10-acre land and Rs 10 crore fund for construction of Golla-Kuruma Sangham Hostel in Hyderabad. He also assured to accommodate those from backward classes who are unable to contest in elections, in the TS Legislative Council.
The shepherd community leaders appreciated the efforts of Telangana government especially the Chief Minister for the upliftment of the community.
Karnataka Ministers Revanna and Bandappa, Maharashtra Ministers Mahadeva Jhankar and Ram Shinde, Delhi Water Board vice-chairman Dinesh Moharia and several others from Golla-Kuruma community, who met the Chief Minister expressed happiness over developmental activities in the State. Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy and others, accompanied the visitors.
Explaining the reasons for launching the sheep distribution scheme, Chandrashekhar Rao said that the State government was making efforts to develop Telangana State into a self-sustainable State in the country.
