Priyanka Robert Vadra the daughter of Sonia Gandhi who has been appointed as the AICC General secretary would take a holy dip in the Kumbh Mela at the Sangam on February 4 and then would campaign in UP from Lucknow it is reported. Priyanka along with Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief will take the dip on 4th or 10nth of February and come into the campaign mode. It may be noted that earlier also Sonia Gandhi as the Congress chief took the holy Bath during Kumb Mela and then campaigned in her constituency.It is a known fact that Rahul Gandhi has been making the Temple run from time to time and claiming that he has he is Brahmin. This Temple run has paid rich dividends in the recent elections.
The Congress has won three states in the Assembly elections. Continuing with the trend now Priyanka also wants to take a holy dip which would help her to get some Hindu votes.It is clear that the Hindu vote is in majority and appeasing Muslims was of no use to the Congress. Now with Temple run and wearing a Hindu Tag they want to win the UP elections.The Congress has to fight with SP and BSP apart from the BJP for winning the election here in UP. The fight between the Congress, SP-BSP combine might benefit the BJP to some extent it looks like.
