Yes the symbol is the same. It was NTR earlier and now it is Netaji now. It was cycle and it is also cycle now. SP is in trouble and the symbol could be blocked by the Election commission for the party. The fight between father and son is turning murkier by the day.
The same story happened in United Andhra Pradesh when the late Legend senior NT Rama Rao was the chief Minister. Chandrababu Naidu the present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh dethroned the then CM NTR taking majority of the MLAs and also the family members to his side.
The allegation was that NTR was acting on the diktats of his second wife Lakshmi Parvathi.
The episode was named as the Viceroy coup as it was staged in the Viceroy hotel in Hyderabad where majority of the MlAs were kept to claim the support for Chandrababu. The issue was between father-in-law and son in law. Now it is between father and son where the Son the CM of UP Akhliesh side lined his father Netaji and took over the leadership of the party in UP. Mulayam Singh says it is unconstitutional and the matter was referred to Election commission.
There is a possibility that father and Son will have different groups and will fight elections separately. With this both the warring groups will fight for the cycle symbol. The EC for the time being might freeze cycle and give different symbol for both the groups. Union Minister and senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu has called this issue in UP as a drama brushed it as an internal matter.
But all said and done it is advantage for BJP. BJP already has 70 MP seats in UP and now they will fight for the Assembly seats. The fight is for more than 400 assembly seats. With this awkward situation with the SP, the BJP will definitely make inroads for the Assembly also. Now SP cannot take the advantage of demonetistaion as it is already in soup.
