BJP and Jana Sena leaders today went to the Ram temple to protest against the desecration of Lord Rama Statue here at Ramatheertham. The YSRC Government on the other than has ordered a CID probe into the incident where the Lord Rama statue was beheaded.
AP BJP Chief Somu Veerraju was injured when he was pushed by the police to prevent him from entering the Temple premises. Some workers fainted in the melee and were rushed to the local hospitals in ambulances.
When the police was trying to look into the issues of desecration, one more statue was destroyed in Singarayaconda. A statue of Laskhminarsimha Swamy was destroyed.
The police bundled all the BJP and Jana Sena workers into vans and have sent them to the police station. As a precautionary measure, the police have kept some BJP and Jana Sena leaders under house arrest.
The BJP leaders sat on the road and continued the protest as they were not allowed to enter the Ram Temple. Somu Veerraju said that the Police have allowed Chanrababu the TDP chief, but they have prevented the BJP from entering the Temple.
I will go to the Temple to see the statue said Somu Veerraju. Some ladies of Jana Sena were also arrested by the police. Later Somu Veerraju was also arrested and sent to Nellimarla police station.
