A high- level delegation from the Telangana state led by Dr. V. Srinivas Goud, Hon’ Minister of Prohibition &Excise , Youth Advancement, Tourism &Culture, Sports (YAT&C) and Archeology has met the senior officers of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Director General of Archaeological Survey of India and discussed to pursue the recognition process of Rudreshwara (Ramappa) Temple in Telangana State as World Heritage Site in UNESCO in Shastri Bhavan here today.
The delegation has also discussed pending sanctions for the State in the Ministry of Culture. The officers of ASI were requested to take up the development works of monuments and forts in the state and proposals of upgradation, refurbishment and renovation of museums in Warangal, Hyderabad and Karimnagar. The delegation has requested for speedy disposal of shifting the Golkonda Sound light show from existing place to new panoramic view of the fort, central financial assistance for development of Cultural Complexes in the State under “Tagore Cultural Complex” Scheme. After the formation of State, the Ministry has accepted extending financial assistance for renovation of Karimnagar Museum and revised DPRs are submitted for approval. The Minister also requested the officers of Ministry of Culture & ASI for shifting the rare antiques and artifacts from Nagarjuna Sagar museum to be brought back to the state and he has assured the state support for building world class museum in
Hyderabad to show case the same. The delegation has requested for speeding up of restoration works at Ramappa and Thousand pillar temple of Warangal. The delegation included Sri Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Minister (PR &RD &RWS), Smt. Satyavathi Rathod, Minister for STW, W&CW, Hon’ble MPs Sri Banda Prakash, Smt. Kavitha Maloth, Sri B Venkatesh Netha, Sri Pochampalli Srinivas Reddy, MLC, Sri Srinivas Raju, IAS, Secretary YAT&C, Prof. Pandu Ranga Rao, Kakatiya Heritage Trust. Smt. V.Vidyavathi, DG, ASI, Smt.Ms.Sanjyukta Mugdal,, JS, Administration, Ministry of Culture and Jahnwij Sharma, ADG, ASI have participated in the discussion.
Later on Dr. V. Srinivas Goud, Hon’ Minister Hon’ Minister of Prohibition &Excise (P&E), Youth Advancement, Tourism &Culture, Sports (YAT&C) and Archeology along with Hon’ble Members of Parliament Sri Banda Prakash and Sri B Venkatesh Netha has submitted a memorandum to Sri Arvind Singh, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism for approval new projects under SWADESH Darshan Scheme. Further, the Minister has requested for sanctioning two projects under PRASAD scheme for development of Sri Venkateshwara Swami Temple, Manyam Konda with Rs. 50.1 crores and Sri Sitarama Swami Temple at Badrachalam with Rs 50 crores. He has also requested for upgradation of Sound Light show and creation of World Class Interpretation Center at Golkonda Fort, where large number International Tourists also visiting.
The Hon’ble Minister along with Hon’ble MPs have represented few proposals to Sri Giridhar Armane, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways regarding speeding up the survey work and tender process for the state road connecting Mahabubnagar with Chincholi road in Karnataka state. Further it is requested to consider Jadcherla to Raichur road under Bharat Mala scheme. The Minister has also requested for construction of raised central median with CRS masonry about 8kms from S V Medical college to one town Police station in Mahabubnagar to facilitate free flow of traffic and prevention of road accidents.
