Heavy rains are predicted for the Telugu states and also for Hyderabad. Hyderabad has already recorded excess rainfall this season. Since last night 7 centimetres rain was recorded.
Rains were recorded all over Telangana. The MET has warned Hyderabad of heavy rains in the next 48 hours.
Low lying areas in Hyderabad have become water tanks and commuters are facing trouble to go around on the roads.
Traffic snarls are seen all over the city. The drainage system has choked all over Hyderabad and the sewer water is overflowing.
GHMC teams are in place and are trying to clear the choked drains.Most of the sellars in some areas are under water.
If it rains by this evening the situation is going to be worse for the people of Hyderabad. This is monsoon effect said the MET officials.
Some tanks have breached and the water has entered the houses in some colonies.
