Heavy rain predicted for three more days

There is no rain as predicted but three more days of rain is predicted by the IMD. The IMD has warned of heavy rains again.

Many areas of pearl city, Hyderabad are underwater.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rainfall in Hyderabad and the other districts of Telangana.

Heavy rainfall was witnessed at isolated pockets of Hyderabad, Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts.

The GHMC is finding it very difficult to clear the rain waters in many areas. People are wading through the waters. Some of them have shifted to their relatives to stay out of the storm waters.

Meanwhile, traffic movement is affected in Hyderabad due to the rains. The southwest monsoon has been active over the state, the Met office said. There is water logging in low-lying areas of Hyderabad and Cyberabad.

Khajaguda, Shamsahabad, Kukatpally and other areas have received very heavy rains and people had to wade through knee-deep water. The drains and sewer nails are overflowing in the city.

The red alert given yesterday was withdrawn by the Government. CM KCR also warned the public to stay home and not come out.
