Heavy rain is expected in Hyderabad by this evening. The weather department has stated that heavy rain is expected in Telangana after 4 pm. Already many places in North Telangana are experiencing heavy rainfall.
This evening moderate to heavy rains are forecasted in North Coast,North Andhra, North Telangana, and Hyderabad, which will continue until 1 am. Additionally, the wind speed in Telangana is expected to
be between 11 to 12 kilometres per hour, with a possibility of an increase during the rainfall.
Residents are advised to stay indoors and take necessary precautions during the heavy rainfall expected in the region today. The GHMC has already alerted the local workers to see that there would be no water clogging.
They have also advised the public not to open the drains during the rain. The staff is already on alert in Hyderabad and cleaning the debris in the old city to avoid water clogging in many parts of the city.
The traffic police were also advised to see that there would be no traffic snarls in the city due to rain. The people are hopeful that the rains will reduce the scarcity of drinking water in the near
future.
Some reservoirs are yet to receive the water. Inflows from other states are yet to reach Telangana.
