February was hot and March is expected to be the hottest. The weather department has alerted the public of a heat wave in the coming summer that is for the next three months to come.

March, April May will see the heat above 45 degrees in city and other parts of the state. City-based weather enthusiasts said that according to predictions, the days and nights of comfortable weather have ended and the state is all set to get into “full fledged summer heat.”

They added that the next three and a half months will be hot unless “we get good summer spells which are not expected at least until the end of March.”

The IMD chief also said that India recorded an average minimum temperature of 14.61ºC Celsius in February, the second highest in the month since 1901.

Along with heat, power and water issues will be there in the city and other districts. The water levels in various projects have come down. The so-called barrages built by the earlier government are in trouble and water pumping was stopped for investigation.
