Aditya Chopra has already announced a sequel to the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial. Reportedly writer-director Zafar has not even started writing it but the star of the film, Salman Khan, has agreed to star in the film.
The last movie of Salman Khan directed by Prabhu Deva has failed miserably a the box office and Salman need a hit desperately.
The Yash Raj Films chief was sure that a sequel will work at the box office because Sultan was highly appreciated by the people during the trial shows.
The movie has earned more than 100 crores at the box office those days.
If the Sultan sequel does happen, and if it works out, Yash Raj Films will have yet another successful franchise at their hands after the Dhoom series of films.
The Dhoom franchise which began in 2004 has given us three films so far, which have collectively grossed around 100 crores at the box office, making it the highest-grossing Indian film series.
Right now the reproduction work is going on. So far Salman has not confirmed about Sultan-2.
