T.Harish Rao, Minister for Finance held a meeting along with Sri A.Indrakaran Reddy, Minister for Forests and Environment, Sri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Sri Somesh Kumar, Chief Secretary to Govt., on Cultivation of Oil Palm in the State.
T.Harish Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Finance said that the Oil Palm Cultivation will be taken up in a big way in the State for the next coming years.
He said that Oil Palm cultivation will be taken up to large extent during the Year 2022. He said that farmers will be largely benefitted besides it is also environment-friendly crop.
Harish suggested various Department officials plan to raise Oil Palm nurseries, but a major constraint in increasing the area under Oil Palm is the availability of seedlings.
Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC and Chairman, Rythu Samanvaya Samithi, Sri Raghunandan Rao, IAS., Secretary, Agriculture, Sri Surender, MD, TS Oilfed, Sri Venkat Rami Reddy, Director, Horticulture, Sri Y.Krishna Rao, CGM, NABARD, Sri Santhanam, DGM, NABARD, Sri Muralidhar, MD, TSCOB and other officials were present.
