Minister for Major irrigation said that the verdict from the supreme court on Kaleswaram project is a tight slap to the opposition. Addressing the media in Delhi Harish said that they are the warriors of Dharma and they have won against the evil designs of the opposition. He said that the evil forces cannot stop the project at any cost as it is being done for the welfare of the people.
They know that if ht e project is completed water for irrigation will flow and people will not vote for them. Harish expressed his happiness that the court has given a right decision and that the project will be done as per the expectations of the people. It is one of the biggest irrigation projects in the world. The design and technology are unique and the ministers from the centre are visiting the project. They have expressed their satisfaction over the work being done in Telangana for the welfare of the farming community.
Several cases have been filed against the Kaleswaram project but the TRS government has been striving hard and the work is being done on a war footing basis. The water will be stored first and the lifted to the tail ends as per the requirement to quench the thirst of the fields in and around Karimnagar.
