Harish presents a budget of 2.56 lakh crore

Harish Rao the Minister for Finance today presented a Budget of Rs2.56 Lakh crore today in the Assembly. The capital expenditure is 29728 crore.

The revenue expenditure is Rs189274 crore. It is more of a welfare-oriented budget and it could be the last budget before the elections.

There is no scope for corruption in the Government and money is transferred directly into the beneficiary’s account Harish explained. Telangana is a torchbearer for the other states he said.

Saying that he is presenting the budget for the third time, Harish said that the money reaching the poor is the hallmark of the Government. Even after attaining statehood in Telangana, we are facing issues from the centre.

The centre is not giving funds to the state he pointed out. In the name of cooperative Federalism, the central Government is not giving funds to the state he pointed out.

The state is transforming into an economic powerhouse he explained.

Niti Ayog’s recommendations are not being implemented by the centre he explained. The state is in the forefront in many areas he said. Seven thousand crore has been allocated for Dalita Bandhu.
