Director Harish Shankar said that he has failed in naming the movie for the first time. The court has suggested that the title Valmiki has to be changed as people belonging to the Valmiki and Boya caste were objecting this.
The movie was shown to the people who were objecting to it and that could not find anything against the name Valmiki. Now the movie is renamed as Gaddalkonda Ganesh from Valmiki.
The Valmikins and the Boyas were objecting to the title, but the director Harish Shankar has been saying that there was nothing against the name or the castes and that it was just a title.
In fact, the hero is Valmiki. But they went to court. The court ruled against the title and they have no other option but change the title. Varun Tej is doing a negative role in this movie where he is a gangster. Pooja Hegde is the leading lady and an old song has been rehashed in the movie. The song was done by Raghavendra Rao earlier and Harish has remixed it .
perhaps this is the first time that the title has been changed in the last minute with the court orders.
