Gujarat now has two warring factions- HAJ that is Hardik, Alpesh and Jignesh and RAM meaning Rupani, Amit Shah and Modi. You can say it is HAJ V/S RAM according to the posters.
For the common Gujarati who has been voting for Modi, he is the messiah who highlighted Gujarati Asmita by giving Gujarat not just the Prime Minister but also the BJP president.
Narendra Bhai Modi has at least another 10 years in active politics there is no doubt about this. Gujarat will be a battle of prestige, the backbone of Modi’s success and survival in Delhi.
The traders are upset with the Modi regime for hitting at their livelihood but they don’t want Modi to lose the elections. Hardik Patel may still draw crowds but the Modi-Shah duo has stymied his popularity.
Coming to the Congress, months of hard-core campaigning by the incoming President Rahul Gandhi will not be enough. Rahul Gandhi has rightly said that Modi markets himself well.
The reality is Modi was provided with the battlefield wide open, ceded by a lacklustre, uninspiring Congress leadership in both Gujarat and in Delhi.
The Modi-Amit Shah duo, will not let the power slip away so easily.
