It is known fact the GST authorities have sent notice to AMB multiplex that they have taken excess GST collections from the Cine-goers and that the same was not paid to the Government. Mahesh Babu who is a law-abiding citizen respected the notice and paid the GST due along with Sunil. It was an amount of Rs around 35 lakhs.
The GST authorities were surprised to note the prompt discipline of Mahesh and Sunil the joint owners of the AMB theatres of Gachchbowli. The people who have given notice to him and leaked the information to media reverted back and praised him like anything. The complimented Sunil and Mahesh for the right response.
The authorities that the owners would go to the court and that the matter would be dragged for a long time and that they would not be in a position to recover the dues. Mahesh and others informally observed that it was an accounting error and they had no intention of not paying the GST. However, Mahesh once again proved that he is a sincere law-abiding citizen. Even earlier there were some IT raids on Mahesh, and Mahesh has proved that he has done nothing wrong.
