Ganesh Idol is the most important Item for Ganesh Chaturthi. But this time it is going to be very costly, thanks to GST imposed on the materials which go into the making of Ganesh idol.
The GST on materials is 28 percent and the rate of Ganesh idols has gone up by 30 percent when compared to last year.
Dhoolpet is one area where these idols of Ganesh in large and big sizes are made. They do it 6 months ahead of the festival.
Now Gudumba was also curbed by the KCR Government and people of Dhoolpet are completely dependent on Ganesh idol business. Cine theme Ganeshas are also made as per demand of the customers.
The festival is on 25th of this month and the shoba yatra is on 5th of September.
