PM Modi is promoting cleanliness in the name of Swachchta. This is at the National level and then it is being done at the state level also.
Now the departments are also promoting the same to observed Swachchta in their own departments.A special program “Clean Hampi, Green Hampi” was held in Hampi . As part of the World Tourism Day 2024 celebration, the Tourism Department came up with the idea aiming at promoting cleanliness and hygiene among the public in rural and urban areas around the world-famous historic site of Hampi.
As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative, cleanliness activities were conducted at prominent places near Sri Virupaksha Temple, Hampi Bazaar, Matanga Hill, and Kamal Mahal.
A rangoli competition was also held to convey a special message about the event, while efforts were made to raise awareness among touristsabout environmentally friendly practices in Hampi.
The Ministers are also promoting the clean and green program in the respective departments. Awards are also being announced for the clean and green program at the National level and also at the state level.
