Grahanam time in Telugu states

People across the Telugu states have performed Rahu-Ketu Pooja to ward of the evil effects of the Solar Eclipse. While all other temples were closed the Srikalahasthi Temple called as the Kashi of the South was kept open for the Poojas.

Pilgrims thronged the Srikalahasthi Temple for the Rahu Kethu Pooja. The Navagrahas protect the Kalajasthi Temple it is believed. The Solar eclipse is seen for 3 to 7 minutes here in the Telugu states.

People who don’t believe in evil effects, have seen the Solar eclipses with lenses and enjoyed the celestial scene here. The Temples were opened after Grahanam and the people have taken the holy dip in many rivers across the country.

It was a partial eclipse across the Telugu states. The eclipse continued for around 3 hours. People who believe in Astrology have done poojas apart from giving danam to the priests.

The grahanam period is sadi to be auspicious for some while it is bad for some others. The grahanam was seen like the curve in the shape of a half-moon in the Telugu states.
