Kumara Swamy Gowda the CM of Karnataka has decided to appoint the founder of Infosys Narayana Murthy for the Karnataka planning board. Gowda opined that this will boost the image of credibility of the government apart from attracting the investors. Murthy himself is a big investor.
The planning board will have experts from various sectors and this will give a boost to the industrialisation of the state. Murthy will be the first technocrat to head the board. Murthy will have the status of a cabinet rank Minister. Gowda said that Karnataka will get all the infrastructure for the development in the near future and Narayana Murthy will look into that aspect specifically.
Infrastructure will be developed to a larger extent in the state and that will act as a growth engine he opined.
The CM will be the Chairman for the board and Narayana Murthy will be the Vice Chairman with the cabinet rank.
