“The government is working with a perfect strategy to contain the virus said the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao . Medical and health department and the police are putting in a lot of hard work to identify those affected with the virus. Initially,
it is known that the virus spread with those arrived from abroad. Later, it was realised that the virus spread with those who attended the Marquz prayers. We have identified and tested who came from abroad and those participated in Marquz prayers. We have identified positive cases among them and put them in the hospitals and treated them. We have identified those who came in contact with the positive patients and are conducting tests. In the tests conducted on Monday, two positive cases emerged.
We have put them in hospitals and are also finding whom all they met. We will conduct tests on those contacts. If anyone tests positive among them, we will establish the link and conduct tests on all those in the link. We are testing daily about hundreds persons with symptoms despite they not having any link to Marquz,” the CM said.
“The government will not be complacent as there is decrease in positive cases. We are alert all the time. The Medical and health department is ready to face any eventuality or eruption of cases. Testing kits, PPE Kits, N95 Masks, tablets, instruments, beds all are ready. We are prepared to given treatment to any number of cases,” the CM declared.
“The lockdown in the state will continue till May 7 as announced earlier. People should cooperate with the guidelines. Please do not come out unless it is very urgent and necessary. People from all the faiths should offer their prayers and celebrate their festivals at home. We will reduce containment zones where there is decrease in positive case and where there are no active cases. But people and officials in containment areas should be on high alert,” the CM urged.
