On the occasion of the 72nd Independence Day, I have great pleasure in conveying my greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Independence Day is a day of remembrance as well as of dedication. A day of remembrance of all those great patriots whose sacrifices have made it possible for us today to enjoy the fruits of freedom.
A day of rededication to the noble ideals of truth, non-violence, peace, solidarity and brotherhood which inspired our national struggle for freedom.
On this auspicious day, let us pledge ourselves to rededicate to the cause of nation-building.
