Governor today felicitated music director Keeravani and lyric writer Chandrabose as part of the Republic day celebrations here at Raj Bhavan. They have done the Natu Natu song for RRR movie which was nominated for the Oscars and also achieved the Golden Globe award recently.
Chief Secretary Santi and DGP Anjan Kumar participated in the Republic day celebrations here along with the Governor. Governor also visited the Parade Grounds and paid tributes at the martyr’s memorial.
The state Government did not do the Republic day celebrations in the name of Covid. This sparked a controversy. The BJP leaders said that it was not right on the part of the state Government not to celebrate Republic day.
Tamilisai who hoisted the National Flag here at Rajbhavan hoisted the Nationa flag and said that building farmhouses is not development. She wants the state to provide the right kind of education locally and that studying abroad is not a big thing.
The state Government has avoided Republic day even after receiving a circular from the central Government to do the celebrations. The state Government did not conduct the Republic day celebrations even the last time.
Republic day was observed at Pragati Bhavan, BRK Bhavan, and also the BRS Bhawan today.
