Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday exhorted the girls to be courageous and dream big to become achievers.
Addressing the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Govt. Degree College for Women at Begumpet, here, she told them not to be weak.
“The women must think that they are not inferior to anybody. Dream big and be achievers in your chosen fields. Pursue your dreams with dedication and conviction,” she said.
Referring to the challenges for women in the society, the Governor stated that we must be strong enough to overcome the challenges and create our own path. “One should have that drive and urge to work for the realization of one’s dreams,” she added.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan emphasized on the need for improving their skills so as to excel in this highly competitive world.
The girl students must transform themselves as the power packed individuals and develop commitment to their goals, while respecting the feelings of their parents.
The Governor appreciated the college for introducing vocational courses in the true spirit of the National Education Policy-2020.
As part of the programme, the former principals and retired members of the faculty were honoured by the college’s alumni association in recognition of their services.
The Governor appreciate the efforts of the faculty, staff, and students in getting the prestigious A + recognition by the NAAC in the recent accreditation process.
