The Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan interacted with the trainees of the National Security and Strategic Studies course of National Defence College, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi at the Raj Bhavan this afternoon.
Shri Priyank Bharati, an IAS officer of 2004 Batch of the PunjabCader, is the Course Director. All the Members introduced themselves to the Governor.
The course members are largely drawn from India and a few foreign friendly countries like Australia,
Bangladesh, Oman, Israel, and Uzbekistan.
The Governor welcomed the delegation and appreciated the defence personnel for their discipline and commitment towards the safety and security of the country.
She informed them that she has deep regard and respect for the soldiers and the sacrifices while manning the borders of the country.
Responding to a query from one of the delegates regarding her being a doctor, taking up politics, the governor replied that she was interested in politics from a young age and despite having a very
successful medical practice, she was passionate about serving the country and people and hence chose to do it by taking up public service through politics.
Answering to another question, Dr. Soundararajan said that she has great appreciation for the people of Telangana for their hard work and dedication.
